This is a very nice Military TV-7A/U Tube Tester designed by Hickok the leading manufacturer of tube testers. The metal case has some paint chips and some minor dimples, but the interior is near perfect. Pictures show the line voltage being set, 6L6, 6DJ8 and 12AX7 tubes being tested. I checked it internally and externally and from what I could find its all original. Not often found with these testers are all three of the tester adapters.

This is an above average tube tester that I am offering at a below market price. The TV-7’s are selling for more online and are not nearly as good. Here you get direct reading transconductance, metered bias and AC that eliminate the sag. It also has jacks to measure the plate current using virtually any digital multimeter. This is an important feature for balancing audio output tubes. If you’re into audio and stereo tube equipment this is the tester to have for many reasons.

This is a very good analog meter that was removed for a Digital Conversion.  Pictures show the meter being tested at 5 and 25 VDC.  These reading are well within specifications. It does rest at zero with power off.

This adapter is in excellent condition and the Novar 9 pin socket has not been damaged by plugging the European equivalent 7868 with the oversize pins in.  It comes with the original Instruction Manual and a copy of the 539B Operating Data.  Data for other Hickok Tube testers can be found on the Internet.
